The Greenland shark, somniosus microcephalus, is probably one of the most remarkable species on planet earth. Approximately the same length as a great white, with flesh toxic to humans if they eat it untreated, that swims in deep waters, or very cold waters, eats polar bears and lives for 300+ years. There is something truly special about the Greenland shark.
